Government

Pact recognizes that good governance and responsive service delivery that are highly dependent on effective government institutions. We continually are expanding our direct engagement with public sector institutions at local and national levels. The approach we use focuses on developing effective linkages between the public sector and civil society and providing technical assistance to increase capacity of government institutions to design systems that are accountable, transparent, and free of corruption.

Pact Tanzania works with government at different levels. At the national level, Pact has a seconded staff member to the Department of Social Welfare to provide capacity building services. At local levels, Pact Tanzania has provided subgrants and capacity building to district councils for the identification of most vulnerable children.
